Senior Full-Stack Engineer (AI) – Healthtech

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with 8–12 years of software engineering experience to build secure, scalable, and AI-enabled healthcare products. You will work across the full technology stack, developing intuitive user experiences, robust backend services, and LLM-powered capabilities while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and healthcare data security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack healthtech applications using TypeScript, Next.js, NestJS, and PostgreSQL.
• Build secure APIs, backend services, data models, and responsive user interfaces.
• Develop and integrate LLM-powered features, including prompt workflows, retrieval-based solutions, evaluation processes, and safeguards.
• Use Python to support AI services, data processing, automation, and model integrations.
• Architect and operate scalable cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Apply HIPAA-aligned privacy, security, auditing, access control, and data-handling practices throughout the software lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, clinicians, data teams, and other engineers to translate healthcare needs into reliable technical solutions.
• Improve application performance, observability, reliability, automated testing, and deployment processes.
• Review code, establish engineering standards, mentor team members, and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and apply them responsibly within healthcare workflows.

Required Qualifications

• 8–12 years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial full-stack development experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern web application architecture.
• Hands-on experience with NestJS, Next.js, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs, distributed services, and scalable data models.
• Practical experience integrating LLMs or building generative AI features in production applications.
• Proficiency in Python for AI integration, backend services, or data workflows.
• Experience deploying and operating applications on GCP.
• Knowledge of HIPAA requirements and secure handling of protected health information.
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, logging, testing, and secure development practices.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience building software products in healthtech or other regulated industries.
• Experience with LLM evaluation, RAG architectures, vector search, model monitoring, and AI safety controls.
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards and clinical workflows.
• Experience with containerization, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and cloud observability.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineers.
